Rapp-it saves Malaysian hi-tech manufacturer from unscheduled downtime
Leading Malaysian manufacturer of high quality semi-conductors, Silterra recently contacted our office asking for more supplies of Rapp-it. They had previously used Rapp-it Pipe Repair Bandages to fix a leaking ½” stainless steel pipe as well as 4” PVC pipe (see below). Both pipes had operating pressures of 6 bar.
Silterra were able to see that having their own stocks of Rapp-it on hand at all times would let them keep their costs down without compromising their factory’s production schedule in the event of other inevitable leaks.
Like with any production line, manpower costs are huge and Silterra was looking for ways to minimise downtime in the event of a significant leak. By ensuring adequate stocks of Rapp-it Pipe Repair Bandages, leaking pipes can be swiftly dealt with in only 30 minutes.
